Melanie Vare (Reno) will be a guest on "Aspects of Writing" The Radio Show
On June 4th. We will explore the world of comedy writing for stage and television.
You may recognize Melanie from her appearance on Comedy Central, although she doubts it. She has also been featured on The Moth Radio Hour, the Story Worthy podcast and her stories are featured on
The Nail Biter.
Melanie recently moved to a different state and changed her last name (Reno). No she didn't kill anyone. She just got married and moved to Nashville—to avoid the 405 freeway.
Melanie started out as a stand-up comedic while earning a B.A. at San Diego State University in A.A.C. (Advanced Alcohol Consumption). After graduating with high honors, Melanie moved to Los Angeles to join the rest of the sane, sound-minded comedians. Her quirky ways quickly caught the eye of a big time Hollywood agent who got her the spot on Comedy Central's "Premium Blend."
